Inhaltsangabe:	Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) hat zwar einen extrem niedrigen IQ, aber er ist nicht dumm, denn seine charakterstarke Mutter (Sally Field) hat ihm einige gute Ratschläge mit auf den Weg gegeben und seine Freundin Jenny (Robin Wright) tut ihr übriges dazu.
