Inhaltsangabe: Als Teil einer Gruppe der weltbesten weiblichen Killer wird eine von ihnen, "Die Braut" (Uma Thurman) an ihrem Hochzeitstag samt ihren sämtlichen Gästen Opfer eines Attentats, das ihr Chef Bill (David Carradine) in Auftrag gegeben hat und das von ihren Kolleginnen (Lucy Liu, Vivica A.Fox, Daryl Hannah) durchgeführt wird. "Die Braut" wird für tot gehalten, ist allerdings nur für die nächsten vier Jahre außer Gefecht, da sie im Koma liegt.
Als sie wieder erwacht, startet sie einen einmalig gnadenlosen Rachefeldzug, indem sie eine Todesliste ihrer Kolleginnen und ihres Chefs erstellt und unter Einsatz eines besonderen japanischen Schwerts und sämtlicher sonstiger Mittel daran geht, einen Posten nach dem anderen abzuhaken...
